Urban Poling Classes

Urban Poling or “Nordic Walking” is one of the fastest growing exercise trends in North America. It turns your everyday walk into a full body workout. By using a technique similar to cross country skiing you can almost double your caloric expenditure. Europeans have been reaping the rewards of Poling for 20 years.

Here are some reasons why 10 million people world wild are currently Urban Poling.

Scientific research has proven that Poling increases both energy expenditure and oxygen consumption by as much as 46%. Heart rate is increased by 10 – 14 BPM over traditional walking. On average a person will burn 280 calories when walking a mile. When you introduce the Poles to your walk you can almost double your caloric expenditure. You are now doing a full body workout.

New participants must fill out the Par-Q & You and the Participant Agreement forms. New Clients simply show up 15 minutes before their first class to receive introduction and training to Urban Poling.
